"I have just finished Shoni’s Fire and have to say that KG Wauthier’s newest release kept me enthralled from beginning to end. Wauthier’s first novel in the series, The Greatest Softball Game, was storytelling at its best; however, Shoshone, Shoni’s Fire’s main character, will both surprise and delight the reader with her ambitions, talents, and free spirit. For me, the best part is how well Wauthier intertwines a mesmerizing storyline with insights into the dangers professional fire fighters and smoke jumpers face every day, making it doubly interesting and thought-provoking.
